Kate Middleton kicked off her weeklong tour of North America with a bang, stepping onto Canadian soil in an outfit that surely charmed many a Canadian. She definitely made us smile!
Kate chose a navy lace Erdem shift for her first appearance. The pretty frock was conservative yet fashionable, with an ivory-lined bodice and sheer sleeves. The Duchess paired her designer dress with her fave L.K.Bennet nude pumps and a matching clutch. Kate put her hair in a half up 'do and smiled with her signature naturally fresh makeup.
If you've noticed an increase in designer dresses in Kate's arsenal, you're right! She has made agreements with several luxury fashion designers, mostly British ones, to help her dress for royal engagements. If you're worried about Kate going completely high end, never fear. Kate refuses to accept free clothes and is determined to pay for all her fashion. So, expect to see her high street faves sprinkled in amongst her new designer acquisitions.
